Her poems have been published in book form (Picture This, 2001), and thereafter in literary journals, most recently in The Atlanta Review (2014). Ilona freelances for various magazines, writing on art and literature and has worked as an editor for the Alhamra Literary Review and as a guest editor for the Canadian poetry journal Vallum. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: rgb(0.784000%, 49.400000%, 43.500000%);\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1500 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/desiwriterslounge.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0344-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Noorulain Noor\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><br \/>\nNoorulain Noor <\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(25.100000%, 25.100000%, 25.100000%);\">is a clinical researcher at Stanford University and the Associate Editor of <\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(25.100000%, 25.100000%, 25.100000%);\">Papercuts<\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(25.100000%, 25.100000%, 25.100000%);\">. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in <\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(25.100000%, 25.100000%, 25.100000%);\">ARDOR literary magazine, The Bangalore Review, Apeiron Review<\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(25.100000%, 25.100000%, 25.100000%);\">, <\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(25.100000%, 25.100000%, 25.100000%);\">Clapboard House, <\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(25.100000%, 25.100000%, 25.100000%);\">and other journals. Prior to moving to the US, she worked in microfinance and her writing is informed by her experience working in poverty-stricken areas with marginalized communities within Pakistan and abroad. Her\u00a0poetry\u00a0has appeared in the award-winning Grey Sparrow Journal, the Alabama Literary Review, Pearl, Controlled Burn, Ellipsis\u2026Literature and Art, \u00a0to name a few. In Pakistan,\u00a0her poems have been published by the Pakistan Academy of Letters. Her work was nominated by Grey Sparrow Journal for Sundress Publication\u2019s Best of the Net series. We expect participants to have a basic command on language and image construction and would like participants to challenge themselves in new ways during this course.
