Mamoona Riaz (b.1987) is an interdisciplinary artist and curator, with an interest in art history and contemporary art discourse. She attended the National College of Arts (NCA), Pakistan where she received her BFA Miniature Painting in 2011. Over the years, Mamoona has worked as Lecturer and Curator for a few universities and art galleries. She has also voluntarily contributed to many other art and culture ventures. She continues to serve her alma mater at a leading art gallery in Islamabad that promotes contemporary artists from Pakistan and abroad. She has showcased her work at a number of prominent galleries in Pakistan, as well as been part of some international shows and projects, working alongside on various personal art and writing projects. Mamoona was part of the Sanat Artists residency in 2014 in Karachi, Pakistan. Besides being part of some major collector’s collection in Pakistan, her work is in permanent collection of eminent international art collectors.
