She Comes Undone


papercut   SHARE THIS ARTICLE

the fragile achenes of a dandelion seed head
scattered in the wake of an impoverished
puff

so are her days strewn, inharmonious
removed from spherical comfort
carried
through violent suburban winds

some collide with incoming windshields
some gasp for air on drenched pavements

and some plant their unwanted seeds
on unblemished square lawns
waiting for their ill-fated bloom.
