Papercuts is the bi-annual print and online magazine of Desi Writers’ Lounge (DWL). The magazine started in 2007. Initially it featured material posted by DWL members on the forums of our online Workshop. But it quickly developed a broader scope when the editorial team decided to open it for submissions from non-members. Today, Papercuts is an established publication platform for emerging writers and poets from South Asia and beyond. Papercuts has published 15 volumes online and its 12th issue became the first print edition of the magazine. The magazine is run by a volunteer team of editors who work with writers and poets on individual pieces before the writings are published.
