DWL is now accepting applications for its speculative fiction writing workshop titled “The Rising Dust.” The workshop will be held in Lahore in December as part of DWL’s Canal Side Workshop series.
The workshop will be conducted by DWL co-founder and published spec-fic writer Usman T. Malik.

Malik is a Pakistani writer resident in Florida, USA. His fiction has appeared in, or is forthcoming at, Tor.com, Strange Horizons, Pseudopod, and the British dark literary journal Black Static among other places. He is the first Pakistani graduate of the Clarion West Writers Workshop where his teachers included Neil Gaiman and SFWA Grandmaster Samuel R. Delany.
NYTimes bestselling author Jeff VanderMeer will Skype in to speak with the workshop participants, and we’re also extremely lucky to have Musharraf Ali Farooqi coming in to deliver a guest lecture in this workshop.
