November is just around the corner and for us at DWL that only means one thing – NaNoWriMo 2017 is upon us! For the third year in a row, Desi Writers’ Lounge and NaNo’s Pakistan Municipal Liaison, Slay Belle, are teaming up for (Inter)National Novel Writing Month.

During the month of November, participants will attempt to write a 50,000-word novel in just 30 days. This undertaking is a significant one, so DWL and Slay will provide support in person at weekly write-in sessions from 3-5:30 pm at the British Council Library in Karachi and online via the official NaNoWriMo forums and DWL blog. To get everyone excited for another round of writing, we will host a kick-off party at 5pm on October 28th at the library. Join us to ask questions, hash out story ideas, and eat yummy goodies!
